Tanzania Whole Cloves
Fresh, Directly Sourced, Naturally Grown, Tanzania Whole Cloves
Origin: Tanzania
Production: The clove tree is an evergreen with large leaves and small flowers grouped in clusters. The flower buds turn from pale blue to bright red when they are ready for harvest. These cloves are directly sourced from our spice farmers and grown at slightly higher elevation which creates a more concentrated taste. Incredibly flavourful, they pack a “strong punch”!
Qualities: The essential oil eugenol is what gives cloves their strong, pungent, sweet flavor.
Common Use: Cloves are used in many culinary applications, spice blends such as pumpkin spice, tea blends like chai, as well as liqueurs and mulled wines. In dentistry, clove essential oil has been used for its analgesic effects.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark location in a sealed container.
